You may have already seen the photos from Banksy’s latest spree of graf through New Orleans. BUT, I think in this case the level of media coverage is has become a story in itself. Its amazing and wonderful to me that an artist like Banksy whose work is almost entirely illegal can be covered in national media outlets like ABC News and continue to flourish in the graf world.

Party goers will bring in their spare change to donate to the Obama/Biden 08 ticket. Some people can spare some pennies while others may choose to spare a $20. People can also donate by participating in a raffle. Participants can win a hoodie from dykesinthecity (www.ditc.net), an Obama / Midnight Marauders tshirt from alwaysurban.com, Obama magnets, buttons and other political chachkas.

This is going to be the best jam since the Gum2 Political Party 2004 at Cinespace (how’s that for an obscure reference?).

The Chase Part Three - Obama Award Tour

The design re-imagines the classic A Tribe Called Quest, Midnight Marauders album cover art, replacing all of the 90s hip hop heavies with pictures of Barack Obama. The back of the shirt uses a quote from the album, “non believers you can check the stats” in the classic Tribe Called Quest yellow font.

Plus, all proceeds go to support voter registration, and to print more Obama t-shirts! (Campaign finance laws prevent us from donating directly to any campaign. Please note we are not affiliated with Obama for America.) Get the shirt, get active, and VOTE!

I’ve been up on Formula Werks since DS of WHRW in Binghamton told me about them (i think it was 05?). Then the other day, my haircutrix Gun Show Poe of the Windy City Rollers told me that Formula Werks was making a shirt with her picture on it! So we renewed our efforts to pick up Formula Werks as a brand on alwaysurban. What luck! Check out the ‘Insight’ by old alwaysurban buddy Joey Potts, and the movement of movements - scumbag nation.
